Family Material

The material found in this section will be of interest primarily to my brother & sisters, and other family members.

Mohill Design takes it name from the town in Ireland that my paternal grandfather came from. Having been born and raised in urban and suburban environments all my life, it's ironic that I find myself living in a community much like the one he left behind.

Mohill is a small village in Country Leitrim whose economy is based on agriculture. My sister and I visited Mohill in 1978 and met our father's first cousin, Michael Doonan. He lives on the farm where our grandfather Patrick was born. Greenwich, New York where I now reside, is a small village, whose surrounding hills are filled with dairy farms. It is very reminiscent of County Leitrem.

The guestbook seems to have taken on a live of it's own. Since most entries deal with Irish genealogy, it's been moved to this section.
