Free Speech

During the mid to late 1970's, I was active in the socialist movement in New York City and Detroit. My camera was an integral part of that time, capturing rallies, pickets and private gatherings. Occasionally, they would be published in Workers Power. The black & white images found at the end of this essay are from that time period.

The color work found here began with the anti-war march in Washington, DC in September 2005. The work is displayed with most recent images first.

The photograph to the right was taken at the Day of Immigrants rally in New York City's Union Square in May 2006.

I serve as Photo Editor for Green Pages, the newspaper of the Green Party of the United States and web manager for the Green Party National Website.
